Hay just ran across this, but did a little more digging in the MacFUSE google group. They referenced OSXFUSE which is compatible with lion 64bit, while being supported and sharing most of the same code of MacFUSE.

Good point Chris. I am not aware of a way off hand but I am guessing you can just upload it, wait for EC2 to create an instance off of it, terminate the instance, and attach the VHD to the other VM. Terminating the EC2 instance should not kill the EBS volume. Definitely test it first however!

Another question: any advice how to upload multiple VHDs into one instance? For example I have a virtual machines with multiple VHDs (/, /home, swap). When following the tutorial wouldn't I create an instance per VHD? Thanks in advance

hi Dan and thanks for this walkthrough. I believe you have an error (-o and -w options are reversed) in your first commandline example:
ec2-import-instance "" -t -f -a -b -w -o

It took me quite a while to notice as the API call kept failing. You should reverse the options: -o is the access key, -w is the secret key

Cheers
